Cédric Riester is the Imperial Prince of the Riester Empire and one of the three main protagonists of the novel.
In the original storyline of the romance-fantasy novel I Quit My Job and Ended Up as a Noble Young Lady in Another World, Cédric Riester was the male lead and love interest to the main character, Christelle de Sarnez.
Originally, Cédric suffered from chronic ether depletion and was thus unable to control his 'power'. In QNW, this went on until he married Christelle and her family's divine item—the Blessing of the Blue Sea—was given to him as a wedding gift, allowing him to finally regulate himself, though at the cost of his Divine Power. In TWSB, however, thanks to receiving Jesse Venetiaan's ether, he was able to achieve this regulated state much earlier without having to sacrifice his Divine Power, which allowed him to have better control over his power and become a Holy Knight.[2]
Appearance[]
Cédric is 192 cm tall with slightly wavy black hair and orange eyes, and is described as being a handsome man with strong features.
His usual outfit consists of a typical uniform, of which both the top and bottom are black. His epaulettes, sleeve embroidery, and other ornaments are made with gold, with occasional highlights and details being lined with red. Outside of formal events, he typically prefers to don practical boots, and he always wears black gloves that cover his hands up to half his palm.[3]

Trivia[]
- The fans of QNW called him Crapdric because his actions are really crappy. (TL note by "Omniscient Spear": In the Korean raws, the nickname for Cédric has a pun for 'trash' in it, but the pun didn't work the same way in English so Crapdric it is.)[4]
- Likewise, in the TWSB fandom, Cédric is jokingly called "dark (ether) pig" for his tendency to be rather greedy for Jesse's ether.
- Cédric's preferred drink is dark coffee, and it is also a drink he chooses after big sparring sessions.[2] Jesse calls him a masochist for liking Espressos.[5]
- Cédric's handwriting can be found on his dollar bill of the official TWSB Ridibooks board game!
