Juliette Palace (also known as the 'Frozen Palace'[1]) is part of Riester's Imperial Palace. It is currently where Jesse Venetiaan resides in.

Cédric Riester is responsible for Juliette Palace, since, for generations, the royal family member residing in the Romero Palace—which is situated right in front of Juliette's—has been in charge of it.[2]

Since Juliette Palace is at the farthest corner of the Imperial Palace grounds, it is rather difficult to approach. Because of so, only a minimal number of guards were assigned there since there wasn't many dangers, but that soon changed after by Synkie and Peter assassination attempt on Jesse, by the orders of Prince Consort Werner from the Holy Kingdom.[3]

Locations[]

  • Juliette Palace was built at the furthest corner on Imperial Palace grounds.[3]
  • Jesse's room is situated on the Est end of the palace, on a higher floor. [2] Jesse describes his room as being similar to a central library on a university campus, and he can see cherry blossoms blooming from his window.[4]
  • On the rear West end, near the back, you can find the outdoor training ground reserved specifically for royal use, where the Imperial Prince, Cédric Riester, often spars and trains at.[2]
  • In front of Juliette Palace is Romero Palace, where Cédric resides.

Staff[]

Most servants in Juliette Palace had been relegated there as form of some kind of punishment, but after Prince Jesse arrived, the situation changed.

“The children from noble households of firm believers almost fought each other to be an attendant at Juliette Palace. Viscount Callamard’s household that had once given birth to a martyr, as well as my own family, Count Girardin’s household, were hoping that someone from our family would be assigned to attend to you, your highness. The other children who are here are all believers who have gone through rigorous assessments to be here.”

— Chapter 4

Every attendant had to go through a rigorous checking process and take the attendant selection test to get into the palace. After passing a documentation process, they then had to go to the Imperial Palace to get interviewed—all in all, it was a very thorough selection process (though that didn't stop the assassins sent by the Holy Kingdom—Synkie and Peter—from managing to deceive their interviewers, the Chief of Staff, and Benjamin, and infiltrate the palace under the identity of Jesse's attendants).[3]
