Jung Yeseo is the main character of "When the Third Wheel Strikes Back".
One day, Jung Yeseo woke up and found himself in the novel "I Quit My Job and Ended Up as a Noble Young Lady in Another World" (shortened as QNW) that his younger sister of nine years, Jung Eunseo, loved to read, as the character Jesse Venetiaan—the second male lead of the novel and prince of the Holy Kingdom who had been sent as a diplomatic hostage to the Riester Empire.
Appearance[]
Jung Yeseo is a 179 cm tall man with brown hair and eyes, who gives off a good and clean impression.
Since Yeseo isn't confident in his fashion sense, whenever he has to leave for work, he usually wears whatever his younger sister Eunseo chooses for him. With his current company's atmosphere and dress code being rather lax, he often switches back and forth between casual and business casual. There are several days where he goes wearing a plain T-shirt, a long cardigan, and neat slacks and shoes. On his way to work, he wears his backpack on his front while taking the subway.
As for accessories, Jung Yeseo doesn't have a particular interest in them, but he always makes sure to use the key ring or phone case that his older brother chooses for him.[3]
Relationships[]
Jung Family[]
Jung Yeseo's family consists of his mother, his older brother of three years, himself, and his younger sister of nine years, Jung Eunseo.[4]
Jung Yeseo and his older brother raised Eunseo as if she were their own daughter, especially considering their age gap. He could even say with certainty that him and his brother, although they are both not married, "have done everything most parents would do with their kids."[2]
As Jung Eunseo grew older, her "storm-like QNW love swept us up like the numerous people handing out flyers for gyms on the street." She even had Jung Yeseo keep the server open in to pre-order the drama CD of the novel, right after he registered for his college courses, while their older brother, who worked from home, was tasked with the QNW OST, because Eunseo "strongly emphasized that (they) needed to help get the streaming count up."
QNW was always a topic amongst them whenever the three siblings sat down to eat together. At first, Jung Yeseo found it really awkward to be hearing his sister talk so often about a character who shared the same name as him (예서), but he eventually got used to it, dismissing it since "(Jesse Venetiaan) was just a character in a novel, anyway."
Eunseo often asked her brothers to join her in reading QNW, but their eldest brother only got through half of the story before deciding it wasn't his kind of novel, while Yeseo—at the time—was too busy, having quit one job and was applying for new ones, before he got hired and needed some time to adjust to his new job. Because of this, Eunseo didn't press him too much, and eventually, by the time she got into college, her vocal enthusiasm for QNW slowly began to die down.[5]
