When the Third Wheel Strikes Back Wiki

The Venetiaan Holy Kingdom is ruled by the Venetiaan Royal Family, with Christiane Venetiaan as the current Queen and Werner Venetiaan as her Prince Consort.

It is situated on the Eastern part of the Continent of the Rising Moon, as opposed to the Riester Empire, which is located in the West.[1]

The Holy Kingdom's national religion is the Church of the Almighty God.[2]

In Chapter 30, Jung Yeseo curiously remarks that: "Francs were the currency of France. I thought that the French patch was only for the names of people in the Empire, but the author must have simply made everything, including the currency, French. It made me wonder if the Venetiaan Holy Kingdom used euros."[3]

History[]

The priests had absolute power in the Holy Kingdom. The royal descendants were all baptized at birth and groomed as priests and would rise to the position of bishops at the age of sixteen, even if they were born with extremely weak Divine Power. Whether they grew up to be swordsmen, mages, or whatever, anybody close to the throne would always carry the title of priests as well.

The only way for someone who was not of royal blood to become a priest was to be born with strong Divine Power, but such an occurrence wasn't common, with only about one person per generation—a commoner without any royal blood—who could become a priest.[4]

"The Romance of the Century that Shook the Entire Continent"[]

That was why when the Monarch of the Holy Kingdom fell in love with a priest who was originally a commoner and had a child with him, it wasn't an exaggeration when the people began considering it as ‘the romance of the century that shook the entire continent,’ especially when the prince born from that extramarital relationship had purple eyes, which were said to show that someone was a descendant of the Almighty God.

The citizens of the Holy Kingdom showed quite a fierce love for Jesse, the son of a priest, who was an extremely popular prince, though it was still indisputable that they supported the Queen’s first child, crown princess Elise’s rights to the throne.

However, as the crown princess’s father, Prince Consort Werner naturally felt concerned and thought of Jesse as a thorn in his side. Eventually, this led to Werner pushing for Jesse to be sent as a diplomatic hostage to their Riester Empire, where he then sent two children—Synkie and Peter—to infiltrate Juliette Palace as attendants to assassinate Jesse.[4]
